I learned the basics of knitting at the age of 6 from my grandma. But I’ve taken it up seriously around 8 years ago, in my early 30s. I wanted to have a hobby that took me away from my laptop while being creative. Little did I know that knitting would still involve a lot of screen time due to pattern searches, getting inspired and watching lots of YouTube videos.
Because that’s how I learned knitting later on: watching tons of YouTube videos. Every time a pattern called for something I didn’t understand, I would go online and find it out. So I’ve spent hours and hours learning every aspect of knitting.
I am not a designer and I’m sure loads of you are better technical knitters than I am. But what I do know, is that I love this hobby and want to share everything about it with you.
So hopefully you will join our fantastic community, ask your questions and show off your new knits.
